In the medical field I provided feeding /swallowing evals and treatment, provided therapeutic intervention for patients who had a variety of communication and loss of cognitive function due to stroke or other brain injuries, as well as patience with Parkinson’s. In private practice, I provided 1:1 therapeutic interventions for pediatric clients with a variety of needs including articulation and receptive, expressive, social language therapies, feeding and swallowing exercises and techniques. In school: I worked with pre-k - 21 year old students with a variety of communication needs, as listed above. My research examined a comparison of the effectiveness between an SLP providing language intervention in a classroom and in a small group setting in the speech room.
